Oil on cradled Gessoboard. Begun just before the election in November 2020 and completed on election day in November 2022. While painting it, I was impressed by the number of comments people would make specifically about our flag and the state of our Union. My favorite was from a veteran who told me he had lost faith in our flag, but that seeing it in my painting made him feel as if he might be able to enjoy it again.
